These are the cupcakes I made after my class for my family.
I finished Wilton Course 1 Cake Decorating. This is the first cake I decorated in the class. I learned how to make snails, flowers . I learned a bit on how to write words. I learned how to hold the piping bag and how to fill the piping bag.
ingredients:
Lemons, water, sugar, ice Mix all of these together. Add more of each to get the taste just right. Enjoy or sell at a lemonade stand like I did! ingredients:
2 cups flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 cup milk 3 eggs A little salt 4 tablespoons of sugar A little orange zest ( you have to grate it) Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Cook each pancake for about a few minutes on each side. You know they are done when they start having little holes in them and they are light brown. Take them out of the pan and put them on a plate. Drizzle honey and cinnamon on them. Then, EAT!!! These are Tiganites, Greek pancakes from Greece. They are different because you have orange zest and four tablespoons of sugar inside. You also put honey and cinammon on top instead of maple syrup. When I was in Greece I was taught to make them by my aunt Evangelio. Ingredients
1 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt combine till well mixed then fill into cups and enjoy!!! I liked this recipe because it tasted like a real Recess Peanut Butter Cup you buy at the store and I thought I would share it with you because it is so easy and fun to make. You can find the original recipe on : http://candy.about.com/od/chocolate/r/pbcups.htm This is called Angel Food Cake. One day I made this cupcake. It was really good. We all liked it….except me. But you might like it and my mom, dad and brother really liked it. I didn't like it because it had cream of tarter and I don't like cream of tarter.
This is from Small, Sweet, and Italian by Maria Bruscino Sanchez (http://www.amazon.com/Small-Sweet-Italian-Treats-Marias-ebook/dp/B00CQYBA6G) Here are the ingredients: 1/2 cake flour pinch of salt 3/4 cup sugar 5 egg whites, at room temperature 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar Seasonal fruit (optional) Preheat oven to 350 degrees Combine flour, salt and 1/2 cup of sugar and set aside. Using a wire attachment, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar on high speed until soy peaks form. With the mixer running, add the remaining 1/4 cup sugar and beat until Stiff. Gently fold the flour mixture into the egg whites. Fil the cupcake pans with 3/4 full with batter. The angle food cakes will grow so don't over fill. Bakes cupcakes for 15-20 minutes. Remove from over, let cook, serve with fruit or homemade frosting. Decorate and enjoy. I am part Greek. My dad is Greek, actually from the island of Crete. In Greece we eat these Loukoumis. This recipe is similar to Loukoumi. You can add powdered sugar on top. I got the recipe from the book Candy!A Sweet Selection of Fun and Easy Recipes by Laura Dover Doran
Ingredients 1/2 cup water 2 cups sugar 2 1/2 tablespoons gelatin 1/4 cold water 3/4 cup lime juice (but we used plum juice) Green food coloring if you want it to be green 1/8 superfine sugar ( I used sugar and put it in the blender to make it superfine) 8x8 pan, candy thermometer medium saucepan whisk small bowl Instructions 1. Butter the baking pan and set aside * 8x8 size 2. Combine water and sugar in medium sauce pan and clip thermometer to side of pan. Cook over medium heat until the mixture reaches 255 degrees F. 3. Soak gelatin in cold water in a small mixing bowl for about 5 minutes, then add cooked syrup. Remove from heat, add juice and food coloring and use whisk to blend mixture. 4 Pour mixture in prepared baking pan. Set aside for several hours or until firm 5. Turn out of pan onto a cutting surface, cut into squares, the roll in superfine sugar. Yield- bout 5- pieces I like this cake because it is so good we ate the whole cake in a day. It is also very easy to make. If you are a kid, you might need help boiling the milk and putting the butter in. You might also need help putting the cake into the oven.
